Claudio von Planta is our Swiss cameraman, director and filmmaker.

Claudio is a multi-award winning documentary filmmaker. His appetite for risk-taking, storytelling and entertainment led him to produce ZENVENTURES’ first project Chasing The Jet Stream.

He started his freelance career with current affairs investigations in war zones filming Afghans fighting against the Russian occupation. He later won global attention with the iconic motorcycle TV series as the cameraman who accompanied Star Wars actor Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman on their Long Way Round motorcycle journey eastward from London to New York in 2004 and Long Way Down from Scotland to South Africa in 2007 and Long Way Up from Argentina to Los Angeles in 2020.

Over the years Claudio has turned into an expert in adventure entertainment and has developed a special interest in record-breaking clean-tech stories such as the BBC World TV series Racing Green, where he filmed the world’s first electric car driving the entire Panamerican Highway from Alaska to Argentina.
